YAHOO!, One of the leading software companies is hosting a hacking event for students of top universities across India on 13th and 14th July 2013. The event is called “HACK INDIA”. People from the stream of programmers, developers, designers, students and industry experts would gather at the event in Hyderabad.
More than 1000 developers have signed up to take part in HACK INDIA event from July 13, from which 250 has been shortlisted through entry level coding challenge. This is a sixth of its kind events conducted by Yahoo. This is the first time Yahoo has planned its Event in Hyderabad City as well as first time outside Bangalore City.
The event is all about a competition among these shortlisted 250 students where they would attend workshops followed by a 24 hour coding Hacking competition. The two day Hackathon event does include a workshop followed by a hacking competition where students can make use of Web tools, API`s, Services and data from around the world.
Yahoo said “This year will see two external hack events by Yahoo! in India, one in Hyderabad and another in Bangalore later in this year. The event brings together programmers, developers, designers from across the industry, start ups and students from the top technical universities”.
“Hackers team up to turn their ideas into a working prototype, or hack as it's called in just 24 hours. It gives developers a chance to work together and build applications and product ideas from scratch using market-leading technologies from Yahoo! as well as other technologies, to develop something cool that can potentially solve a real-world problem that impacts Internet users” source added.
